Hi

I`ve looked everywhere and tried everything but can`t work it out! How do I change read/write permissions for each forum?

I started this forum and tested a few messages - all from myself. I cleared the forums and started again. Now I have a list of 5 forum titles, myself as Administartor and a new member (again me under a different name) but I can`t see how to start a thread on any of the forums. For each forum the check box is ticked for READ and a note saying don`t forget to change for each forum! Help me please before I go insane!

So you already created a category and forum(s) in a category. Go now to your board (not the admin panel but the frontend), click into a forum and there you will find the option "Create new thread".



To set read- and write permissions go to Admin->Forum->Home, click directly on a forum and select "Edit additional settings", scroll down a bit and you can select the permissions for every user group you've got.

I`d only created the Forums but no catergories! 1 down, 4 to go!
