You should check back with the provider of your widget. Maybe they have implemented some way of preventing the restart via cookies.
There's nothing we can do to change this behaviour. The only solution I could think of would involve you having access to your own webspace. Then you could host a website there and use a frameset to load the forum into the website. Your music player would then be in a different frame and therefore wouldn't reload every time you open a page in the forum.

Will are developing a new feature called "custom landing page" which will allow you to completely control the contents of the landing page of your Xobor forum. Once this is implemented, you wouldn't need external webspace to define the frameset. It's still in the early development phase though, so it will take a couple of months before the feature will be released.
