Xobor.com - official support forum

Hello all,

First of all i would like to introduce myself. I am Spinosaur King.

I have just registered here as i have a suggestion.
I have recently (last month) created a forum using Xobor. My forum is growing rapidly, and its inevitable, people want to give feedback. So, i think it would be nice, if Xobor intergrated their own Feedback system for all their forums so that users can post feedback that is viewed an answered by the admin(s). Another of the sites i often visit, called Topix, already has one:

I think it would be nice, if Xobor included a similar system to Topix's. If You could perhaps talk it over with xobor and see if it will be considered?

Also, i have had nasty incidents with cyber-bullying where other users have been bullied on the forum. If it is possible, could you also talk to xobor about the possibility of a "report" button being installed. Then, if someone is cyber-bulied, or insulted, they can click on the button, which alerts an administrator, who can take further action perhaps being able to call the police if its serious enough).
I really think this would make a significant improvement to all Xobor forums, but anyway,

Cyber-bullying is easy to deal with without involving the xobor team. Just post a sticky message to tell users to PM you and/or any other admins about the incident with a link to the thread/post concerned. Then you can review it, and come down on the problem child like a ton of bricks of necessary.

One of the first things I instigated on our board ( http://205930.xobor.com/ ) was a read only forum with the board rules in it. It's open to all visitors whether registered or not, so that they can see what behaviour is expected of them. In my case I'm pretty ruthless and anyone breaking the rules get two further chances - then they're out on their ear and if necessary permanently banned.

first at all, thx for your suggestions! User feedback is great and helps us improving the software.

About the Feedback system: right now we're not planning to implement a system like topix has, but you still have other possibilities. For example: You could insert the code for a contact form in an own HTML page and put the link to this HTML page in your navigation bar (e.g. name it "Feedback" ).

For own HTML pages go to Admin->Layout->Custom pages and create your page, add it afterwards to your navigation bar. HTML Code for a contact form should be easy to find with google, e.g. here http://info.template-help.com/after_sale.../article14.html

The "Flag" button: we already had this function, but people did not use it! So we decided to get rid of it, because no need having functions (never been used) additionally in the interface. Think Archmage is right, users could PM the Mod or Admin about cyberbullying , maybe this is even the better solution. Think about curious users who just want to "test" the button? Or about cyberbullying users, pushing the button in every single thread just to annoy the mods or something.

So I am afraid to say that this option won't come back in the next time. Let us know if you're missing other functions? We will discuss it and come back to you (and no, we didn't forget about the smileys )

I didn't even know you can create your own HTML pages! Thats for telling me, ill probably use it quite often now. It seems it would be better to use the HTML creatoing thing than install a new feedback system (which would take AAAAAGES )
But i also agree with Archmage, i will see about using the sticky and PM aswell.
