#1 | Question about Site Name datum

Hi
When I started the forum I registered the site name through Xobor. Now it's nearly a year old and I will need to renew the site name how do I go about this?

Can I do it through Xobor to keep the web address or should I register it with a domain registry company? If the latter, how do I get the authorisation code to transfer?

Hi Louise,

for 12� you can buy a new domain. Send it to our paypal account "info@miranus.com" or to our normal bank account.
After that we reactivate the formular for you and you can enter the new domian name normally in your forum in the administration (like you did the first time).
Your forum is reachable under both domains then, if users klick on the first one, they would be automatically send to the new one.

So I wouldn't just get an invoice for it then?

Sorry, but the bit about two domain names is confusing me? I'm not sure what you mean about a new domain, I just want to renew the old one.

Ideally I wanted to move it to a British web registry, but I need to know how to get the transfer code

Sorry to be confusing, this is all new to me.

If you just want to renew it without moving your Domain to another web registry you don't have to do anything but pay thre 12 Euros once you receive a renewal email (invoice) from us.

If you want to host the domain with another registry please contact us via emial and we will send you the AuthCode needed for the transfer.
For best results in search engines we strongly recommend hosting the domain directly with us.

Do you know how long before the renewal the invoice will be sent? I have been checking but no sign of it yet and it's getting close to the renewal date :)

Hi Louise,

as far as I can see you have booked the professional rate for your forum.

Since the domain is included in the premium rate it will simply be renewed for another year when needed - you will not receive a seperate invoice for it.
