The problem of the freezing page seems to have sorted itself out, but an answer would have been nice. Thankyou.

Ingmar
I see you answered another members question re the search facility but you never replied to me concerning the same question, plus I was also asking about a particular page on our forum freezing, I got no reply to that either.
The page in question is http://205004.homepagemodules.de/t88f10-...is-and-was.html perhaps you can view this post in conjunction with my other post.

My own problem seems to have cleared up but I am getting spasmodic reports of failure on image pages. These run from the page freezing to user title graphics flashing when they shouldn't to the search engine facility being inoperative. I don't think there would be much use directing you to a particular page as I say as it is a spasmodic effect, though this is the page where the freezing effect was reported by two members,

Hi Ingmar
Xobor 205004
I am the only one having this problem, but I am unable to see any of the images that have been posted to our site. I am not even able to see our header banner. I can see the avatars of other members though. I do not have this problem with any other site and it's only become a problem within the last couple of days before teverythinghing was fine. I have tried logging in using different browsers IE8 and Firefox but the result is just the same. have you any advice? |

Hi Ingmar
Xobor 205004
It's been a while since I had cause to log on here, but at the moment a few of our members havingvinf a problem logging on, with some its being unable to log on is the problem, with others once they are logged on they can do nothing. The remainder of the members are experiencing no problem at all.
I would be grateful if someone could take a look as soon as possible.

Hi Ingmar
Xobor 205004
Is it possible that posts and threads deleted by admin or the moderation team could be stored for a short while so that if required they could be reinstated, when for example deleted in error?

Thanks for what you have done, as I said it seemed to be an intermittent problem, I think I said I doubted that you would be able to reproduce it. Thanks for trying and lets hope what you have done may cure it.
Although it seems to have been fine since I reported it, but if there is any repeat of the problem, you will be the first port of call.

Good Morning Ingmar,
This is the reply I got from the member who had the uploading problem.
Hi Phil, in answer to your questions. I choose the photo, click on upload, it starts to upload, then a new blank window comes up with the message "a problem with this web page caused Internet Explorer to shut down" it then reverts back to the BT page and when I try again it's fine and uploads with no problem, this happens with only a single photo and irrespective of file size. I am using the latest version of IE.

Hi Ingmar,
My experience was one time I posted 3 photos all within thparametersrs stated for uploading and one loaded twice and the other wasn't there. Another time I posted multiple photos again and although I they uploaded they didn't appear after trying three or four times I gave up. When I returned to the forum later they uploaded first time. I am using IE8.
I will ask the member what he is using.

Hi Ingmar
Xobor 205004
We have a slight problem on our site, perhaps this post by one of our members will explain it better than I could
"Has anyone else had problems with uploading images, for the last few weeks I have had to do everything twice, the first time in each instance it comes up with the message "a problem with this web page has caused Internet Explorer to shut down and re-cover". On the second attempt in each case it loads normally, very frustrating".
I would add that I have experienced a similar problem myself on several occasions. In my case it just the fact that photos will not load unless I try 3 or four times, but the problem seems to be intermittent. So I don't think that you will be able to come on site and reproduce the problem with a once only visit, unless you are lucky or unlucky depending how you look at it.

Good morning Ingmar
Xobor 205004
Over the last few days we have had problems with our forum running slowly. This only happens in the evenings at peak times, during the daytime it is fine. Last night it was so bad that we had to abandon the site, if it continues like this I fear we will loose members.

Hi Ingmar
Sorry I didn't get back to you but the problem seemed to clear itself after a couple of hours. What happened was I had a prospective member contact me saying the site would not accept his details.
So I logged out and then was unable to log back in, the site just wouldn't accept my log in details. I tried about 20 times, that was when I contacted you.
As I said the problem seems to have resolved itself, as I was able to log in about two hours later. I have since logged in and out a couple of times to make sure and a new member has also joined since.
Thank you for taking a look and at your suggestion I will remove you from the membership, but anytime that you might feel like it you are most welcome to join.
