#1 | Update: Tag member with @! datum

By now you can tag you member by using @username in a forum posting!

The tagged member will be informed by pm and email. Every member can decide by semselfes if they want email and pn or just pns to get informed about they being tagged (Options → forum settings → if tagged → inform via pm / not inform via pm).

To deactivate the new feature go to admin → forum → preferences → activate @tag → yes/no.

Thank you for the two recent options additions. Is it possible to make them English for our board?

Hello Justme,

there is a problem with the translation. We are working on this - it will be in english for all english boards, soon.

Thank you. It is English in the admin panel, but not on the forum or the options tab.

Is that something that can be corrected?

Alice,

Our board is still in German. We are also having a problem with some tags. We set up a system to tag more than one member at a time and it no longer works. It did work very well and is very popular with our board.

For example: @/subject@member@member@member@member

Individual tags still work.

What system did you set up? Your own? Our system is just for tagging individuals, but you can tag more than one user in a post, just by tagging them all individual.

@membera @memberb @memberc ....

edit: You can tag members together like @member@member@member, but to tag a subject is not possible.

I wasn't clear, I apologize for that.

The tags work inconsistently is the easiest way to put it. For example I never get my tags, I get the pm, but no message. And, the system we came up with only works periodically.

It's new and I will just tinker with it on my end. Thanks again.

Hello Justme,

nobody get`s the posting where he is tagged. You get a pm and it says "this member tagged you in this topic" - and a link which leads you to the topic.

Some of our members get the pm notification(the flashing green dot), but no pm.
I hate to be difficult, this is a small issue. Just letting you know at this point.
