1) It's just a false alarm by an overeager virus-scanner 2) It's a problem with the member's computer 3) The problem is caused by an external Javascript that you are loading in your forum header or footer.
If you want me to have a quick look at it just post a link to your forum...
as you've noticed already: for some reason dailymotion refuses to provide an easy option to get the "embed"-link for the video. We used to hardcode the translation for daylimotion link into the forum software but since the link structure has been changed a few times in the last years we just don't see the point in it.
The solution you fond in the German support forum add a custom forum code [dailymotion] which creates an iframe to load the video in.
To get this to work, you need to do the following:
1) go to Admin → Layout → Iconbar, choose add Icon → Forum Code
3) Move the code to the group "not visible" (since it will just be working in the background)
4) Now you can use a code like this in your forum posts to load the video: [dailymotion]http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xpupl3_david-lynch-crazy-clown-time-official-video_shortfilms[/dailymotion]
Note that this will only recognize Videos where the url starts with http://www.dailymotion.com/video/ and it assumes that dailymotion provides the embedded version under http://www.dailymotion.com/embed/video/ The code might not work when dailymotion changes the url structure again...
If you want to also allow for your users to provide links in other formats (i.e http://www.dailymotion.com/hub/...) you will have to create a custom forum code for each version.
You can specify as many required fields as you need. Simply go to Administration→Users→Profile Options and check the "required" options where needed. You may also specify new custom fields to accomodate for less common information.
ZitatAlso I'm not quite sure what the Imprint is and if I fill in this section would anyone know about my address, E-mail address, etc. ?
exactly - the imprint / legal information / mentions légales will be shown on the faq page and it should contain enough information so visitors will know how to contact you in case the have any questions regarding the content of your forum. If you need an example just have a look at our faq page
can you please navigate to Administration→Settings→Home and press the "Reset Counter" button. This will re-calculate the values shown on the forum statistics page and should solve the problem. If the error still persists please let me know again - then I'll take a closr look at what's wrong.
In this case the problem must be with the browser settings of the member. Tell him to try another browser to see if that helps. My guess is that coookies are not allowed which would cause this error.
You will need to create your own template copy (Admin→Template Development) and edit the element "Upper Bar". There you'll find the <head>-Section mhere the meta-Tag should be added.

I'm sorry but we currently only support three methods of payment
1) Paypal - use Paypal to pay online 2) money transfer - transfer money from anywhere to our German bank account 3) direct debit from a German bank accounts - for our German customers only
our stats don't show any problems with the site availability. Could you ask your members to make a screenshot next time the error occurs or at least copy the exact error message?
If you are using the stastistics service stats.de, you must make sure to remove all Javascript Code referencing stats.de from your forum header! Stats.de is not offering their service any longer and the Javascript will cause your forum to load VERY slow!
